Age Sections
Ages are calculated as of April 30th of the competition year.
1Section I - Age 6 and under (3 min)
2Section II - Age 7-8 (3 min)
3Section III - Age 9-10 (5 min)
4Section IV - Age 11-12 (5 min)
5Section V - Age 13-14 (8 min)
6Section VI - Age 15-16 (10 min)
7Section VII - Age 17-18 (10 min)
8Section VIII - Age 19-22 (12 min)
Requirements
Rules and guidelines for this division
- Memorization is required for all divisions
- Each participant should present TWO contrasting pieces
- No changes in repertoire are allowed following submission of the application
- Use of original score or music from the public domain only. Use of photocopied music score will lead to disqualification from the competition.
- First Prize winners cannot compete in the same division the following year. However, they can choose to compete in the higher age division.
